Who am I?
Solicitor in the Private Client Department.
What I do
- Will drafting
- Estate administration
- Preparation and registration of Powers of Attorney
- Inheritance Tax Advice and planning
- Trust creation and administration
I am a lawyer in the private client department of Coole Bevis in the trusts and probate team. I am also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). I have experience in dealing with a wide range of issues for my clients but in particular I have a very strong grounding in the creation and administration of Trusts, advising trustees and beneficiaries and providing inheritance tax advice, including the preparation of Wills. I also have experience in the administration of estates, dealing with probates and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and non-contentious Deputyship applications.
TThe start of my legal career began at my call to the Bar, after which I worked as a paralegal specialising mainly in Trust law in a top City law firm while cross-qualifying as a solicitor. I passed the QLTT and qualified as a solicitor in 2012. In 2013 I moved to Horsham and gained a broad range of experience in a local firm. I became a member of STEP in 2017 and joined Coole Bevis in October 2017.
My hobbies and interests
I am an avid reader when I have the time. I also enjoy cooking and have been known to throw dinner parties for my friends, bake cakes to tempt my colleagues and avoid kitchen disasters most of the time! I have recently attempted some window-sill gardening in my flat, and while the basil seems to be doing very well the other herbs do not appear to appreciate my less-than-green thumb.
