Who am I?
My name is Charlie West, I am a Paralegal within the Leasehold Enfranchisement and Leasehold Disputes department. I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2020 with a First Class BA Hons in Accountancy and Finance. I have previously worked for the UK’s leading grain marketing and crop production business as a Stores Administrator.
What I do
I assist clients in recovering ground rent, service and administration charges and deal with routine aspects of leasehold enfranchisement matters. I am looking forward to working with clients who range from landlords with large property portfolios across England and Wales, right to manage companies, tenant/leaseholder-owned freehold and management companies and individual tenants/leaseholders.
My Achievements
After having worked as a Stores Administrator my interest in law is still high, so to have the opportunity to transfer my skills and learn new ones whilst working is a big step in the right direction to start my career in law. As I don’t have a lot of experience and achievements in a law career, most of mine come from a personal aspect. Whilst living in Germany, due to my dad working in the forces, I have played football against highly recognised football teams in Germany as a child. Most notably would be playing in tournaments alongside teams such as Barcelona and AC Milan. I have also played against many top German football teams such as Borussia Dortmund and Weder Bremen.
My hobbies and interests
My hobby would be football, I am a West Ham United fan, so have experienced many ups and downs whilst supporting them! I enjoy learning about new topics, so have grown an interest in Greek and Norse Mythology.
