Who am I?
Practice Manager and member of the firm’s Executive Committee (ExCo) which is responsible for the day to day management of the practice.
What I do
My role is to assist with the smooth operation of the firm, enabling the Partners, other lawyers and support staff to focus on providing the best possible service to every client.
I am involved in issues as varied as quality, HR management, compliance, strategy and practice development. No day is ever boring.
My Achievements
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and have a certificate from the CIPD proclaiming my “exceptional service to HR and people development for over 30 years”.
I was a member of the Law Society Committee that established the still very successful Practice Management Section, and have helped a number of firms achieve their chosen accreditations, or simply get themselves better organised!
My hobbies and interests
I am a keen golfer and a recreational runner, and enjoy representing my clubs in both activities – injuries permitting. I will go out in any weather (if I must) but have a strong preference for warm and sunny! In more passive mode, I have a passion for the theatre, failing which I will curl up with a good book or (not too challenging) Sudoku.
