Who am I?

LLP Member in Private Client Department, based in Hove, and member of the firm’s Executive Committee (ExCo) which is responsible for the future strategic direction of the practice and its day to day operations.

What I do

• Inheritance tax advice and planning
• Formation and Registration of Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection and elderly client matters
• Managing the general affairs of elderly clients

I am a private client solicitor and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). I specialise in estate administration e.g. probate and intestacy, will and trust creation. I have fostered close links with other local firms such as accountants and financial advisors and work with them to meet my clients’ needs. I often find myself acting for large families where instructions are received from all generations of the family tree which is very rewarding.

My Achievements

I graduated from both University and Law School with First Class Honours and went on to study for a further professional qualification with STEP where I also achieved a Distinction. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2004 at another local law firm, I moved to our legacy firm of Woolley Bevis Diplock in 2005 where I became a partner in 2007. We subsequently merged in April 2016 where I continued to look after my clients from our Hove Branch.

Professionally I take great satisfaction in looking after my clients and forging strong ties with the local community. I have also found that helping to steer the direction of the firm and ensuring its longevity has been highly rewarding.

I am incredibly proud of the achievements of the Private Client department over the last year and in particular being recognised in the Legal 500 Directory in which myself and a few of my colleagues were personally identified, something we are all immensely proud of.

My hobbies and interests

I am a keen badminton player, having played (to my horror!) now for over 30 years. I belong to two local clubs and have participated in various tournaments over the years at both a County and social level. I also enjoy reading, watching films, going to the theatre and conversing with friends and family over a nice bottle (or two) of wine!
