On this year’s Injury Prevention Day, The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) would like to urge people to think about what they can do to help prevent needless injuries.
APIL is a not-for-profit organisation which has been fighting for the rights of injured people for over 26 years. Its 4000 members are committed to campaigning for legal reform, so that, if the worst happens, people can exercise their right to seek justice, care and fair compensation.
It is of course appreciated that accidents do happen: however, if they can be foreseen, they can be prevented – so avoiding needless pain and suffering, as well as the additional trauma of having to bring a claim for compensation.
Parisa Costigan at Coole Bevis LLP is a Senior Litigator member of APIL.
