The uneasy rumblings regarding Universal Trustees Limited (also known as Universal Wealth Preservation, Universal Tax Solutions and Universal Asset Protection Ltd) have been growing louder and louder over recent months. As BBC Radio 4’s Money Box Programme made clear, Universal were an unregulated company which leaves their clients much more exposed than the clients of solicitors firms because the latter are strongly regulated.

Universal Asset Protection has now gone into compulsory liquidation, its trade premises have been closed for several months and the website has been taken down. Clients of the company have received no response to their correspondence from Universal regarding their trusts or their documents. If you are a client of Universal then you need to act now.
